Ronnie Grimaldi’s family tradition of coal-fired brick oven pizza began over 80 years ago when in 1933 his Great Uncle Patsy Lancieri opened one of New York City’s first coal-fired brick oven pizzerias. The tradition continued when his Uncle Patsy Grimaldi opened his famous pizzeria in Brooklyn in 1990. It was there that he learned the fine art of great pizza making and went on to enjoy many years of success owning three coal-fired brick oven pizzerias in Hackensack, Edgewater and Ridgewood.
Ronnie is excited to bring Ronnie G’s Coal Oven Pizzeria to Ramsey where he continues the family tradition using his families recipes and techniques. His pizza is made using fresh mozzarella, imported tomatoes, freshly grated Romano, extra virgin olive oil and fresh basil. It is then baked to perfection in his hand built custom coal-fired oven heated by Anthracite Coal from Pennsylvania that burns at 800 degrees! But their pizza is not the only amazing and homemade food they offer, they have plenty of appetizers, salads, traditional entrees, and desserts.
When you eat at Ronnie G’s, you will know you are eating authentic coal oven pizza, made by a genuine Grimaldi. Enjoy!
